Causes and Consumers: Come Together During Earth Month!
Earth Month and always are both perfect times to take daily action to address climate change and environmental justice. In our ninth year at Frego, our support of organizations has grown to include partnerships with Ocean Conservancy and EarthHero. We’re proud to work year-round with them and thought we’d take a moment to share more about how their missions empower important work here on earth.
Ocean Conservancy
Ocean Conservancy has been protecting the ocean, its coastal communities, and its wildlife since 1972. Their programs are designed with the best available science, smart policy solutions and engaged partners to tackle some of the greatest global challenges facing the ocean including climate change, overfishing and plastic pollution.
Frego, by producing non-toxic, sustainable, plastic-free food storage containers, has a roll to play in helping reduce plastic pollution. We stand with Ocean Conservancy (OC) in our making of a healthier, safer alternative that won’t destroy our oceans and environment and we bring the organization’s request for support to our consumers. Understanding where products are sourced, how they’re manufactured, and the impact of the process and the product can be daunting to uncover as a consumer researching product by product. That’s why we love EarthHero. They’re a tremendous online resource for sustainable goods we use inour homes, on our bodies, and share with our families, friends and peers.
Frego knows first-hand that it’s challenging to compete in mass retailers across the U.S. whose consumers largely make decisions based on pricing.
